Ambassador's Event Parking Information

Accessibility | Parking lots and street parking are available with ADA accessible spots. There is an accessible ramp to enter the museum. The museum is equipped with elevators and accessible restrooms. Courtesy wheelchairs for interior use are available.

Directions and Parking |The museum is located at 5 E Edenton St, Raleigh, NC 27601, in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Please enter via the main entrance, located on the Bicentennial Mall, across from the entrance to the Museum of Natural Science. Below is a parking map for the museum.

The closest lot to park in will be the lot on Jones Street between Wilmington and Blount, labeled Visitor Lot #1 in yellow. There is also street parking all along Jones and the intersecting streets (Wilmington, Blount, Salisbury, McDowell) both regular and handicapped. Street parking is free after 5:00 P.M. and the lots will be free after 6:30 P.M. If you do park in a lot, you will take a parking card as you enter but will be free to leave without charge after the event. Additional lots are highlighted in yellow and you may park at any of the other indicated lots on the map.

Please note: to enter the museum, you will have to walk along the Bicentennial Plaza which is not drivable. If you plan to drop your partner or guest off before parking, the best drop off point is on Edenton Street near the crosswalk at the center of the block. This entrance point, where Bicenteniall Plaza meets Edenton or Jones Street, provides quick and easy access to the museum's main entrance.
